Letters:

Ramsey case has me wondering what you all are drinking out there

Never wondered what was going on in Boulder, Colorado until six years ago when I read about the brutal murder of a 6-year-old in her own house on Christmas night. That kind of put the sleepy little town on the map for me. Since then I have watched the side shows surrounding the JonBenet Ramsey murder investigation with both sadness and amusement. Just when you thought the case couldn't attract more wackos, sure enough, another crops up, or should I say slithers in. This case has more wackos glued to it then Carter has liver pills. It's got to the point where I've begun to wonder what you guys have in the water out there.

With the recent ruling by Judge Carnes singing eenie-meanie-minie-moe - I pick intruder - and D.A. Mary Keenan chiming in with catch an intruder by his/her toe, I realized this cold case was indeed as cold as the cold war politics it appears Boulder is trying to mimic. What a way to sweep this embarrassment under the rug and avoid old Lin "I sue" Wood from suing the socks off Boulder.

But, nay, this latest revelation is topped by yes another wacko. This time, Susan Stine, Patsy Ramsey's joined at the hip bosom buddy, is impersonating your Chief of Police, Mark Beckner. Yes, 'ol Susan "Pitbull" Stine has altered her online gender, grabbed a new hotmail email address - becknerbpd@hotmail.com- and has been having a gay old time sending e-mail to various folks as Chief Beckner. According to the Stiney One, it was a joke all done for fun. Wonder how may of her recipients are laughing?

But, Boulderites, the best part is yet to come - your finest there in Boulder don't plan to file charges. Seems like your community may see an influx of those criminal types since it appears in your city crime does pay - or at least is ignored. Found a quote about Boulder, "Even for those of us in nearby Denver, spending time in Boulder is a little like leaving the planet." (http://www.cyberwest.com/cw14/14adwst3.html)

I'd say they got that one right.
